Acts 4:13
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognized that they had been with Jesus.”
God has chosen the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. The boldness of Peter here is shocking to these men who are using intimidation as their main tactic. Despite this danger, Peter refuses to disguise our doctrine. Peter and John are willing and ready to make this public. The religious leaders are astonished at what they hear and what they see. These two men have not been trained in their schools, and reflect Jesus, who also was not trained in their education system. How wonderful it is when people recognize that

We are called to be humble people with nerve. We can allow others to push us around, but have conviction to never let the Truth be compromised. We are called to fear God alone, and not fear any man, or man made establishment. Father God, thank You for always being willing to be with me, and inviting me to choose to be with You. Help me to be with You daily, and to take You with me into every area of my day. Give me Your humility and boldness mixed together to stand for Your Word, and not my opinions. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
