Acts 2:14
“But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.”

Peter stands up to preach. Sermons worth anything need a good introduction. God took care of reeling people in with the sound of a great wind, and every language being heard, now Peter stands up to defend Jesus, while just seven weeks ago, Peter denies that he knew Jesus three times in one night. This is the boldness of the Holy Spirit.

Peter preaches to
Prepared people

These people are upset and wondering what in the world is going on, and ask what’s up? Peter, once cowering in the corner with fear, now filled with the Spirit, he supernaturally speaks to this crowd, because he is empowered by the Holy Spirit. No matter how far you have wondered from Jesus, or how many times you have denied Him publicly or privately, the way back is already offered through the grace of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Father God, thank You for being the Way, the Truth and the Life. Allow me to live with You today, under Your Word in the power of Your Spirit to speak Your Word publicly and privately, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
