Acts 1:7
“He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority.””
Once again, underlining the fact that the disciples were not asking IF Jesus would set up His Kingdom, but WHEN. Jesus here gently corrects the disciples and tells them that this should not be their focus in their task, and to stay on task with purpose from conviction without knowing the time or the season. Their is knowledge given to us by God, but what He reveals does
Not to make us
smarter sinners
but makes us
more like our Savior
Knowledge puffs up, we are not to walk around with big heads but big hearts, and trust Jesus, so that we walk by faith, not knowledge. We are called to be obedient, without knowledge of the outcome. Father God, help me to walk with purpose today from conviction with You. Help me to focus on the True, the good, the righteous and the beautiful, and let everything else fall to the wayside, as I complete the tasks You have for me today, without knowledge of the future outcome, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
