Acts 1:14
“All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.”

These disciples were told to keep on keeping on. They were together in one mind, devoted, steadfast, continuing with intense effort, being continually attentive, persevering and not fainting, being constantly diligent, attending assiduously and continually in prayer.

Prayer is a gift
The gift of being in
The presence of our
Almighty God

These men seemed to have a hard time getting along before this, they fought and bickered like children before, but the sight of our resurrected Lord, unified them in heart and mind, to be steadfast in prayer. Keeping our mind on Jesus, will lead us to pray, and praying will keep our mind on Jesus. Father God, help me to stay in prayer longer, seek Your face more often, devote myself to being with You at all times, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Be devoted and continual in prayer
