Acts 7:30
““Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.”

Moses was 40 when he went into the desert as an alien in a foreign land, and it has been another 40 years with no record of God speaking to him or communicating with him in anyway. This desert would be lonely and an unpopulated place. This is a true desert, to be alone and God silent in our lives. This is also the training ground to grow Moses into a great leader of an entire nation.

Don’t discount
The desert
Our desert is
Our training ground

God does not waste any opportunity in our life to grow us up into the likeness of His Son, the desert, and the sheep pen are great ways to grow leaders. The problem with this world is not bad leaders, but un-sanctified leadership. Father God, thank You for the many deserts you have led me through, so that I learn to lean on You, and You alone as I lead. Help me to recognize Your training ground inside each day, and not try to leave the desert, but embrace Your strategy in my life to strengthen me, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
