Peter continues to explain to those gathering what is going on, and illuminating for us the events that took place. He tells us the why, the what, The Who, and the how. These events are taking place on the feast day known as Pentecost.

Peter is explaining that this is not an event of drunk men, but the living Word of God. This would have been a well known passage from the Old Testament coming to fruition right before their very eyes and ears. Peter is simply explaining the events that are transpiring in accordance with what God said before hand. “This is what” God said… Father God, I thank You that Your Word is not just words on paper, but that it is living, and active, sharper than any two edge sword, going between soul and spirit and bone and marrow. Your Word discerns my hearts intentions and cuts through the physical and the spiritual. Allow me to humble myself under Your Word, walk in the ways of Your Word, as I lean on Your Word today, by the power of Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
