Acts 3:7
“And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.”
This is the first of three healings that God does through the apostles in the book of Acts. In the early church, these miracles are mended together with the message so that people know the Gospel being preached is from God. The traditions of their religion are being broken down, and the new message had arrived on the scene. To establish this new concept called the church, these miracles prove the message to be from God. There is no reference to this man’s faith or lack of faith, only Peter who compelled by the Spirit of Jesus, now living inside him, looks at this man, and heals him by the power of Jesus.
This power
entered his ankles
And healed him physically
And entered his heart
And healed him spiritually
Physical healing is good, but the most important decision we can make is to be made whole spiritually through Jesus. Jesus came to cleans sinner’s souls by grace through faith. It is not of our good works, but through His shed blood. The message and the miracles live on through His faithful followers. Father God, thank You for making the message live in my heart, and for the miracle of saving my soul. Let me speak this message with every word of my mouth and action of my heart today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ACTION: Live the message and miracle
