Acts 5:38
“So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or this undertaking is of man, it will fail;”
Gamaliel, this leader of leaders is commanding the Sanhedrin to stand down. “Keep away”, and “let them alone” are both command verbs. He is telling them to not procrastinate or delay, but to take their hands off of these men immediately. His point is that if this is man’s plan, it will be overthrown, so they should wait and see the outcome, to know if this originated with God or man. Not even the gates of hell will prevail against the plan of God.
What is impossible
For man
Is possible
For God
We are not to make our own plans, and invite God to join our will and way. That will fail. We are asking God, seeking His face and asking Him to open His door, and joining Him, His plan, and His way. Father God, allow me to be in Your Presence today, to understand You, and who You are in a deeper way. Allow Your Presence in my life to grow, and build Your way in and through my heart, head and hand of action today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ACTION: Be with Jesus
