Acts 3:3
“Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.”

This nameless beggar sees Peter and John coming and goes about his day as before asking for the generosity of others to help him through his day. He is asking for physical support from a Spirit filled man. Peter is going to offer him Spirit filled support and the gift of life, real life in just a few verses, but let’s not miss the lesson here.

We all come as
poor paupers
Seeking crumbs
from the table
But our King is
Seeking to
Offer us a seat
at His table

We must come humbly to the table, and at the same time remember we are given a seat at the table as sons and daughters of the King. Our God gives us abundantly more, above and beyond what we ask, and think according to the power IN us! Father God, thank You for Your goodness, mercy and grace, that as Your son I am not only able to ask for all of life, but You have already placed Your Spirit within me to work in my heart and through my hands. Help me to enjoy fellowship with You at Your table, and to work with You in Your fields. Help me to offer Your life to others today, as Your ambassador, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Not think only physical, but spiritually today
