Acts 2:5
“Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven.”
The mission of God is to expand His Kingdom by advancing the gospel and love of God to each person and every nation. From the beginning, men and women were to be fruitful and multiply. This is true for Adam and Eve, and after the flood with Noah and his family. Our natural inclination is to be idle with the gospel as we build bigger and better towers to recognize our own kingdoms rather than advance Jesus’ Kingdom. From the beginning, we have resisted the command to GO, as we build bigger towers “for” God.
God says GO
We say COME
God says to ALL
We choose SOME
God brought religious men from every nation on earth to hear the gospel, receive it, and take it with them back to their homeland, so the gospel would reach every nation, and every tongue. Father God, keep Your will in my heart and on my mind at all times. Allow Your goodness in my life to fill me full and pour out on those I come in contact with today. Let me not build a tower to get close to You, but realize You already came to me. Therefore keep me continually on mission for You, and to use Your Word through my mouth to advance Your Kingdom continually, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
