Acts 2:36
“Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.””
Peter now turns the corner towards the finish line. He has made His case that Jesus is the Messiah, Jesus is God, and they killed Him!
They crucified Him
God crowned Him
They executed Him
God exalted Him
Remember this teaching began because of signs and wonders that drew thousands of people in and they believed it to be God’s power and only God. Now Peter’s punchline is that what they meant for evil God used for good, and that the signs of the Holy Spirit pointed to Jesus being exalted in Heaven, meaning Jesus rose from the dead, and how could He rise from the dead if He was not God. All the evidence is there, and all the evidence pointed to Jesus, whom they killed, as God Himself! Father God, thank You for this proof of Your Son’s life and work as God on earth in human flesh. Thank You for the tangible evidence of Your goodness through Your Son, and the faith You have placed in my heart. Even if there was no evidence of Jesus life and work, I would still believe because of how You spoke to my heart and led me to You. Allow me to live life from Your life living and working through me today, glorifying You through my heart, soul, mind and actions, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
