Acts 2:47
“praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.”
Unity is seen and heard in EVERYONE praising God together. Many times in a worship service people are thinking about something else, or even too much about themselves. How they don’t like their own voice, how nobody wants to hear their voice, or how they would never raise their hands in a worship gathering, or judging others for doing so. Praising God is about God and blessing God.
Unity comes from
Everyone praising God
Rather than
promoting self
It is interesting to gather together and every person sing the same song at the same time. We gather and sing One song at a time to our One God as One people. If we cannot humble ourself in a worship service with other followers of Jesus to be of One mind and One Spirit, it will be difficult to be unified in other areas of life. Father God, thank You that Sunday is coming. That we have another opportunity to worship You in community, to glorify Your name as One people. Allow us to raise Your name, honor You above our selfish needs and be unified together with others as Your One Body, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
