To circumcise or not to circumcise. So much talk of circumcision, and the end is that it does not matter at all. This is not about an outward action that we can accomplish in our own strength, but the transforming power of the cross inside of us. Yet we make it about the outward action all the time; don’t do this and don’t go there, don’t have this, and don’t look at that. The cross is much bigger than don’t touch, look, steal, covet.

The cross of Christ
Changes our
Character

Our character is who we are on the inside and what that looks like when nobody is around. Many today outwardly identity with a church, but inwardly reject Christ, and His way. As a “new creation”, the old is gone and the new is here. Our desire is changed first, then our doing begins to follow our new desire to please God alone. Father God, thank You that this life is not about external signs that I can manage in my own power, but is about Your transforming power to change my heart, and character. Thank You for caring more about who I am than what I do in my own strength. Allow both my desire and my doing to be pleasing in Your sight, as I walk in faith, producing the fruit of the Spirit, walking the narrow road, in the power and ability of Your grace, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Be who I am (in Christ)
