Acts 3:16
“And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.”

Jesus and the name of Jesus is elevated here. Peter is again telling the crowd that he, Peter did not heal this man, but by grace through faith, Jesus healed this man. Peter is making sure the crowd does not place the emphasis on the wrong thing or the wrong person. This is not about Peter, or the beggar. It is not about faith or healing, this is about Jesus and Jesus alone!

Jesus did the healing, and Jesus worked in the faith of Peter to heal this spiritually blind, and physically lame man. All the credit goes to Jesus, and God gets all the glory. Father God, thank You for being glorified in all You do. Help me to continue to point people towards You, Your mercy, Your goodness and Your Son. Help me to get out of the way, so people can see You more clearly, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
