“And he said to them, “Men of Israel, take care what you are about to do with these men.”
Gamaliel gives the teachers of the law a warning. This man Gamaliel, of the highest and elite of the Sanhedrin (like our Supreme Court) is telling them to take heed, to pay attention, to move the thoughts of your next movement into the forefront of your mind. God is in control of everything that happens and at the same time the Pharisees have the opportunity to do what they will. The warning is to not exercise your will against God’s plans. We must learn this as well, and continually ask
Does my will
Line up with
God’s will
Jesus in the garden prays to the Father, not my will but Your will. What task in our lives is too small to ask the same question. We must mind our mind and move what is in our subconscious to the front of our mind and continually live His will over my will. Father God, Your good, acceptable and perfect will is the desire of my heart. Help me to move Your will from my heart into the forefront of my mind today, so that my heart, actions and words align with You, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
