The Plot, The Prayer, The Pit and The Praise

By the time we get to Daniel 6, Daniel is 80 years old. He's outlasted King Nebuchadnezzar, served under Belshazzar, and now he's serving under Darius. The kings have changed, but Daniel's faith has not.

And that's a problem for Daniel's enemies. They can't find a single thing to accuse him of. No corruption, no scandal, nothing. So they go after the one thing they know they can use against him: his prayer life. They convince the king to sign a law making it illegal to pray to anyone but him for thirty days. And they know exactly what Daniel is going to do.

This week we're walking through the plot, the prayer, the pit, and the praise in Daniel 6. It's a story about integrity, about what it costs to stay faithful when the culture around you makes that costly, and about a God who shows up in the den. Along the way we'll look at Daniel's actual prayer habits, what he did every single day for decades that gave him the strength to keep kneeling when it mattered most.
