Acts 2:7-11
“And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Parthians and … both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”

The language here points towards the crowd being completely and continually astonished. It was the sound of the great rushing wind that drew this crowd, but the disciples speaking in all of their own languages captured the attention of the crowd. The miracle was not hearing their own language, but that these uneducated Galileans were speaking in all of their heart languages.

God loves everyone
And
God left nobody out

As the apprentices of Jesus are speaking they are praising the One True God in every language, proving God’s love, not just for a specific people group, but God’s love for the entire world, each and every person, from every tongue and nation. Father God, thank You for not having favorites, but loving all people no matter their sin, failures, and hang ups. Help me not to prejudge people and hold back love, but to love each person that comes across my path today, revealing Your heart and showing Your compassion, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Love sacrificially and unconditionally
