Acts 6:5
“And what they said pleased the whole gathering, and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolaus, a proselyte of Antioch.”
They choose seven men full of faith, and full of the Holy Spirit without a ballet, or a vote, BUT it does please the whole gathering. The Apostles were not dictators, but good leaders. They find seven men, with the requirement of being full of the Holy Spirit, and present them to the whole gathering and have a unanimous vote for them to serve tables.
Leadership is the
Presence of a person
That makes followers
Not just followers, but makes disciples who make disciples. These leaders are leading the whole gathering in unity, and toward the heart and hand of God. Leaders lead. (profound I know) If nobody is following you, you have gone rogue. If division is following you, you are not leading. Father God, thank You for the leadership You have placed in my heart. Help me to lead well and in unity, to be swift in change, kind in word, and quick to repent, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ACTION: Lead well
