Acts 3:19
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out,”
Repent means to change direction from a change of mind. Clearly put, it means to change your mind about what (who) can save you. True repentance means that you come to terms with the fact that only Jesus Christ can save from sin and get you into a relationship with God. Peter invites them to repent and return to God.

Repentance is an invitation to reorient your mind, heart, soul and entire life around Jesus and His way. We must give up on our own plan, and see God’s plan as the better and more fruitful way. Our eyes will only be open to seeing the Truth as we understand our sin, and repent in faith, then we begin to become sorrowful of sin, and desire His way through this life. Father God, thank You for the first time I saw my sin, and repented, and for the opportunity to walk in rhythm with You through repentance each day. Continue to open my eyes to sin, and help me keep a short list to repent for, as I walk in repentance with You each day, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
