Acts 4:28
“to do whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.”
These early followers of Jesus rise above what they see happening, and see the hand of God at work in and through this persecution. They now recognize the passion of Jesus for what it really was, and this persecution as the God of the universe reaching His hand down into their lives and moving things around to accomplish His great plan.

Fulfillment of Scripture
The hand of God refers to His sovereign power. Do you really believe that He’s got the whole world in His hand? Do you believe that every trial, every hurt, every pain you encounter, and every bit of persecution is in His hand? If so, let the peace of God rule your heart and mind. Let His peace surpass all earthly comprehension. Father God, help me to guard my heart and mind, so that the flood of Your eternal peace can stand guard over my thoughts and emotions. Compel me to see Your work, stand on Your Word and walk by Your Spirit, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
