Acts 5:34
“But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law held in honor by all the people, stood up and gave orders to put the men outside for a little while.”
This is a fascinating strategy of our God. Gamaliel, not a believer in Jesus, used by God to set the apostles free to do the will of God. God does not force anyone to do anything, but can use unregenerate and unsaved men to do His work according to their own will, even when they do not care about God. He did this with Pharaoh toward Moses. He did this with Artaxeres towards Nehemiah, and is doing this now with Gamaliel.
God is always
Behind the scene
And in full control of
The scene He is
Behind
This begs the question, who is the Gamaliel in your life, that God is using to draw you closer to Him. God is able to use whomever He desires to bring His good, acceptable, and perfect will to fruition. Father God, You alone are good! You alone are also in full control of all things. Thank You for the “Gamaliel” in my life, that their desire is Your will for my life. Allow me not to squeeze out, but stay under the pressure so I see Your hand at work, and walk with You today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
