Acts 2:23
“this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men.”
Many of the Jews that are listening thought that Jesus’ death on a cross invalidated Jesus’ claims to be the Messiah. Peter makes it plain, that this was God’s plan for God’s Son before the foundation of the world. Then tells them that God’s plan to kill Jesus on a cross was carried out by their hands and their desires. This was crushing Truth to those listening, as they realize it was their chants to kill Jesus, that fulfilled God’s plan. Through the preaching of Peter these people realize their thoughts about Jesus were wrong.

Your thoughts about Jesus, will guide your every move, open or close your will, lead you towards the path of righteousness or away from what is True, good and beautiful. Decide today, your thoughts towards Jesus. Father God, I thank You for Your Son Jesus, His life, work, words, death and resurrection. I thank You for revealing this to me, not just as a fact of history, but for me personally. Compel me to live from this Truth today, with my back on the cross and Your Word at my feet, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
