Acts 7:4
“Then he went out from the land of the Chaldeans and lived in Haran. And after his father died, God removed him from there into this land in which you are now living.”
Stephen continues to show the Sanhedrin (religious leaders) that following God is by faith not through religious activities. Abraham obeyed God, because he believed God. These religious leaders were living in the “Holy Land” and have no relationship with God. Abraham was living in a pagan land with idolatrous people. The point that Stephen is making here is –
Abraham came to
God through faith
Not through
The temple
The key to obedience is obedience…
Even when you do not know the outcome. We are people of faith. It is our faith in God that compels our every move and controls our hearts posture. Father God, thank You for building my faith over and over again. For revealing Your nature and Your will to me everyday for over 20 years. Help me to follow You in faith today, and allow my heart and words to please You, in Jesus name amen
