Acts 5:33
“When they heard this, they were enraged and wanted to kill them.”
This language for “they were enraged” comes from being sawn in two. Not only were they cut to the heart with these words, but they we were sawn apart. The gospel is the very power of God in words, and creates conviction deep within our soul. This conviction either leads people to
Repent
Or
React
These so called godly men are convicted but not converted and their reaction is to get rid of these men and kill them so that they do not have to hear these words anymore or feel this conviction. Instead of yielding to the Truth, they harden their heart to the Truth. Father God, continually make my heart moldable in Your hand. Help me to be sensitive to Your softest Word, and keep my heart pliable, so that I repent quickly and walk in Your Truth daily, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
ACTION: Stay sensitive to the Spirit
