Acts 7:45
“Our fathers in turn brought it in with Joshua when they dispossessed the nations that God drove out before our fathers. So it was until the days of David,”

Remember Stephen is telling them and us that the worship of God is not confined to a place or a building. The Tabernacle was transported into the promise land, not built there. It was received by Moses and welcomed by Joshua. This insertion of Joshua’s name (meaning Jehovah is salvation) is brilliant – drawing a parallel between Joshua and Jesus. Joshua who conquered Canaan, and

Jesus
Who conquered
Sin Satan and death

The point is Jesus, His work, His life, His death, and His resurrection made a way for us all to worship in every area of our life, not in a building to meet God, but God came in the form of His Son to meet us! Jesus conquered death, and defeated sin and Satan and disarming our enemy. Father God, thank You for Your Son, His life and His work to set us free! Help me walk in Your freedom and grace to glorify You, and worship You in all I do, where I work live and play, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Worship ONLY God
