Acts 4:10
“let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well.”

They asked the question, and Peter who is suppose to be on trial, turns the tables on them and puts them on trial, and boldly answers their question with the Truth. They just tossed Peter a softball and he swings for the fences. These are the men that called for Jesus to be crucified. They are the ones who stirred the crowd into a frenzy, and Peter calls them out for murdering Jesus. Now they are on trial, and in a semi-circle to see each other’s faces as the inditement is made. Don’t miss the character of our God coming through Peter’s message. God is giving these leaders another chance. God is revealing His long suffering.

They pierced our Savior
Now our Savior
Is piercing their hearts

Too often our way of living builds up walls of hostility around our mind, which leads to a calloused heart. These words seem harsh, but they are piercing their hearts and revealing the patience and long suffering of our God. God gives them yet another chance to come to saving grace. Father God, thank You for Your great patience with me, and for suffering long with my slow and stubborn heart. Help me to be more patient, and to suffer long like You, so that the people around me see Your grace and patience when they experience me through out today, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
