Acts 7:33
“Then the Lord said to him, ‘Take off the sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”

The Sanhedrin (legalistic spiritual leaders) accused Stephen of speaking against the Holy Place (the Temple). He points out that God told Moses, he was on “Holy Ground” when there was no temple yet. The ground is holy, because God is there.

Where God is
Is holy
Because
God is holy

Our God is not confined to a building, but inhabits his people. We are holy, because God is holy, and has taken up residence inside of us. We as apprentices of Jesus, function as mobile tabernacles and have become “holy ground”. We must be sensitive where we go, and how we go. We should not expose “holy ground” in unholy grunge. Father God, continue to help me be a light in this dark world, and at the same time be sensitive to where I walk as Your holy ground. Help me to be holy as You are holy, to take Your voice in Your Word to a broken world, Your holiness inside me to an unholy people, and use wisdom to where I place my feet, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

ACTION: Be Holy
